MAC WHITE AND BLUE SWIM TEAMS
2009 NON-COMPETITIVE FUN TEAMS

White and Blue Swim Team registration dates are:
Swim team
Thursday, March 26, 4-7 p.m.
Tuesday, April 21, 4-7 p.m.
Registration will be held at MAC West Snack Bar.
This year, all interested participants MUST SIGN UP IN PERSON!

About the White & Blue Teams
The White & Blue Teams are non-competitive swim teams which focus on developing a swimmer’s stroke skills and technique in a fun environment. Practices will include two basic elements: teaching and repetition drills.
Swimmers will compete in three fun meets that will be approximately two hours in length.
In order to have a good instructor to swimmer ratio, the size of the teams will be limited to the first 50 children
between the ages of 5 and 18 to sign up.

Why Swim on the Blue/White Team?
• Good instructor/swimmer ratio.
• Parents don’t have to volunteer at any meets, which are two hours in entirety as compared to three to five hours for the Red Team.
• All the following are the same for members of the White and Blue Teams as they are for the Red (competitive) Team: suit, team T-shirt, price, picture day and ribbons.
• Very non-committal for both the parent and the swimmer.

Meet & Practice Schedule
Practices will be held twice a week from 9:30 to 10:15 a.m. for the Blue Team and 10:15 to 11 a.m. for the White Team on the following dates:
Week 1
Monday, June 8, and Tuesday, June 9

Week 2
Monday, June 15, and Tuesday, June 16

Week 3
Monday, June 22, and Tuesday, June 23

Week 4
Monday, June 29, and Tuesday, June 30

Week 5
Monday, July 6, and Tuesday, July 7

Meets are against local swim and country clubs-TBA

The cost is $85 for one child and $75 for each additional child.
